Scraping refers to the illegal extraction of data from websites or mobile applications. Advanced, human-like bots are deployed to scrape pages for valuable information which can then be used for fraudulent purposes, such as creating fake websites or selling the data to unauthorized users.

Carding refers to the process of verifying the validity of stolen card details. Bots are deployed on payment processing pages to test a bulk list of credit card data. Cards which are determined to be legitimate are then used to carry out fraudulent transactions.

Click fraud occurs when the number of clicks are falsely inflated by automated bots. This typically arises when ad publishers want to generate more revenue for themselves, or when competitors try to sabotage online advertisers through making them pay more or hitting their budget limit earlier.
